Four young recruits have embarked on an exciting new career with RATP Dev-owned London United following a complete revamp and re-launch of its apprentice training programme.
The four, who are the first to be offered an apprenticeship with London United for several years, range in age from 18 to 24. They are Christopher Barry, Dziugas Gedvilas, Tim Pitwell and Karol Lewandowski. They were part of an initial shortlist of 47 applicants and went on to excel in psychometric testing, face-to-face interviews and a practical assessment of their technical skills and ability to work as a team.
They will be studying bus and coach mechanical engineering with Bristol-based S&B Automotive Academy, chosen for its innovative teaching methods and technical expertise.
London United’s Learning and Development Manager, Hannah Connors, said: “We believe it is crucial to ensure a constant influx of talent into our business as well as develop leaders for the future. We have completely overhauled our apprenticeship programme and believe we now offer one of the most comprehensive training schemes in the industry.”
